The Light bulb

While individuals continue their path to achieving their goals, there is always the “aha” moment which solidifies one’s efforts towards their aims. As countless hours of work, dedicated efforts, and sacrifice characterize one’s life journey, this “aha” moment serves as a reassuring moment for the individual. This concept, on a much smaller scale, can be easily applied to my Independent Study & Mentorship as the research interview and learning phase rounds the base while the application phase comes up at the plate.

This week was a highlight of my Independent Study & Mentorship journey so far as my two research interviews, the development of my individual original work, and my potential mentor list continues it excite me for the future. My interviews with Mr. Meek and Mr. Felker were hands down the best interviews I have conducted as Mr. Meek emphasized the philosophy of leadership while Mr. Felker provided me advice over opportunities the City of Frisco offers to expand my business idea. In addition to these interviews, progress with my business case applications further propelled me to improve upon my business plan as I was fortunate enough to advance to Round II of the Conrad Challenge and am currently working to advance to the Conrad Challenge National Summit.

As I continue streamlined and dedicated efforts to finalize my original work while selecting my mentor to guide me through the rest of the journey, I can see my “aha” moment coming up on the horizon.
