The Secret to Contentment
Philippians 4:11-12 (NIV) the Greek word for secret is mueo, it means to initiate into the mysteries. Shutting the eyes and mouth to experience mystery. Initiated into the wonderful “Mystery Revelation” to learning to be content in Christ in every scene of life, no exceptions.
2 Cor.11: 22-28 – (Paul's scenes)
Paul had success at times, and he had failures.
The Holy Spirit said no to a certain city he wanted to go to
One city he showed up in, he had to leave because no one was there to help him.
He had to leave Jerusalem for fear of his life.
All have forsaken me...
Let’s go back to His call, He must suffer – Acts 9:16
None of us has undergone suffering in life as severe as Paul.
Yet many have gone through suffering more so than others.
But Paul’s words are for all of us.
2 Cor. 12:7-10 – His suffering he took pleasure in, for one thing it was what was prophesied to him in Acts 9 by Annanias.
Meaning that God was going to give him grace for the trials, not just to endure and get through but take pleasure in and learn contentment.
The life of Christ within was manifesting outwardly in Paul.
Joy unspeakable, full of glory
Having peace that surpasses all understanding.
The secret of contentment is the life of Christ, our union with Christ.
Hebrews 12:2 – endured the cross with Joy
The same Christ in us also endures what we go through with Joy.
Cout it all joy... James
This sounds strange, it’s a mystery, only for those who have learned it, have the revelation of it. (Paul heard God - “My grace is sufficient.”
