The End of the Beginning
December 7th, 2020
As I have learned to enjoy the process rather than to focus on the result, I have greatly enjoyed my first semester within ISM II. Having an opportunity to not only expand my own knowledge but to pass forward tips and advice onto first-year ISM students, I have been able to grow as an individual and as a professional.
Moreover, as I prepare to submit my Original Work, I have been able to now apply the research I have conducted over impact investing and stock picks onto a comprehensive research paper and guide for student investors. Through this journey, I have been able to compile my research into a detailed pamphlet for reference while outlining detailed stocks to invest in considering our socio-political circumstances while adding the ever-important ESG lens. Through this research and application, I can hopefully pitch it to investors in the future, use it myself to begin investing with an ESG lens, and utilize it within my mentor’s investment firm, Meek Industries. Essentially, not only will this project be helpful to my mentor and myself but to the entire community, providing individuals with a new knowledge of combining impact and investing.
Ultimately, I look to submit the Original Work this Friday while continuing to follow my passions in impact investing and entrepreneurship.
