On this day of remembrance, of honor, and or pride, I look back to the teachings Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has inspired me to exercise and have discovered that his most powerful message was one of resilience and persistence. He famously stated how “We must come to see that social progress never rolls in on the wheels of inevitability. It comes through the tireless efforts and persistent work of dedicated individuals. Without this hard work, time itself becomes an ally of the primitive forces of social stagnation. So, we must help time and we must realize that the time is always right to do right.” This quote has imbibed the values of persistence and purposeful action in me, motivating me to continue delivering impact and leave an inspirational legacy.

Throughout the ISM program thus far, I have conducted primary research over the field of impact investing. Initially, I regarded this research as an opportunity to grow my mindset and expand my skillset. However, upon experiencing the true purpose of life through the program, my entrepreneurial experiences, and my interactions, I have understood that this research has a greater meaning. By enriching myself with expansive knowledge, I am enriching the people around me and my community, as I will be able to materialize this research into a service for the benefit of society. And it is through these ideals and morals that I find the motivation to keep on persisting, working hard, and delivering positive impact.
