From the early beginnings of my ISM journey, I have looked to accomplish two objective goals: to dive into the deep end of entrepreneurship and impact investing and to broaden my horizons. With proactive planning and effective execution, I was successfully able to accomplish both goals. In addition to progressing in an online entrepreneurship and investment course, I established my personal LinkedIn profile, wherein I have been fortunate enough to connect with professionals in the DFW Area, in New York, and in California.

Despite my developed skill for communication and interaction, the process of establishing connections and conversing with professionals was rather anxious. However, it is these experiences which have matured my skill of professionalism, since body language and the way one conducts himself leaves a far more important impact than words do. In addition, I also continued to improve my communication skills as I learnt the importance of responding promptly. Whether its through responding to interview messages, scheduling meetings, or simply asking to connect with a professional over LinkedIn, the skill of punctuality is vital to maintain a reputable personality in the professional world.

In addition, I continued to expand my skillset about entrepreneurship, investment strategies, and the purpose of ESG, while beginning to materialize ideas regarding my final product. But as every journey begins with a small step, I am too exploring the surface level of this topic. I plan to continue my research by exploring the implications of ESG in the investing process while exploring and researching various social startups that have experienced success.

In the coming weeks, I have three scheduled interviews with three professionals, one in New York, over Skype, one in San Francisco, over Skype, and one in Fort Worth, in person. Hopefully, through my expanding network and through the knowledge I gain through these interviews, I will able to gain professional experience under the guidance of a mentor soon.
